We have discussed in class, how behavior is very similar between teenagers and elderly people. This tends to happen for several reason. One of them, definitely, the mental condition of a person. We also discussed that some old people keep a very good physical condition, even at an advanced age.
However, there are people who don't care about how old they are and tend to wear the latest fashion for young people. For example, Betsey Johnson, a famous fashion designer who is 74 years old, surely thinks that age does not matter when it comes to fashion.

I think it's important to be careful with the way people dress, especially famous people because they are too exposed to all kinds of criticism. In my opinion people may dress fashionably taking care about two thinks: first because the age, because not all the clothes are appropiate to old people, and second one, because the body shape; not all the clothes fit well to all people.
ReplyDeleteI think you´re right, thinking in normal people. But as an example Madonna, for me is a middle age woman that takes care for herself very good. And usually she looks good in fashioned suits and even bizarre dresses. But she´s not as bizarre as Lady Gaga.
DeleteThe upper example was of a pop singer, but there are people too that are not as famous as this singers but men and women that menthaly are living in another age, than their real age. Maybe pretending being younger than they are. Or forgetting that they´re not as slim as they want. Or complex that made some woman dressing manly. Usually a famous person has professional consultants that advice and provide them the correct suits for each ocassion.
I think that the clothes and other things of "fashion"... don´t have important....first we have to feel good with us, later we can find things of ways to look cool but always with the mind that I am sure of who I am and how I look.
DeleteThis personalities, like Betsey Johnson, Lady Gaga, Prince, Michael Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Amy Winehouse, etc. take advatage of this particular styles (sometimes ridiculous), that made them originaly than other singers, or actors.
ReplyDeleteYes karla, but you know that they are very old... and, sometimes it looks like... they don´t accept that they are know in other part of their life...singers like Rod Stewart look very cool...but he is never wearing with fashion clothes...he is always with simple suit... and show that the famous singers don´t need to be like other actors(that looks very bad only for the opinion of the people).
DeleteSorry I didn´t finish yet. I want to say that there are some people, famous or non famous people that have good taste to dress, to combine colors and textures, tendencies, people that choose the correct size clothes, some of them with a lot of money to invest in clothes, and designer clothes, but I know people that buying their clothes in Megapaca, Pacas or flea markets, they made good choices and combinations. So there are people that have the natural talent or gift to do this, but there are others that study to reach that knowledge.

ReplyDeletewe have to feel well with ourself and try to don´t think in the opinion of the others...if I fell good with myself...I don´t need the opinion of other only if I am not sure about it too.
For Example .... Madonna .... she is very old ... but her work and life style are depending a lot of the fashion ... so in this case ,I think that is important for her...because it's necesary....and she looks very cool.
ReplyDeleteFor me the age is not the problem, fashion for famous personalities is a bussines for all, a litlle part is a way to show how they feel inside. The red carpet is a special moment to be on the top ten list for best dressed, and show to the world the new tend aswering the quote "how you wearing?".
