Creating a computer virus

Many years ago I used to think that computer viruses  were just able to affect big companies but nowadays is unbelievable how viruses could also affect our cell phones.  I watched a TV documentary in which a test to steal information was performed, it was conducted in a crowded park in New York City.  A sign was installed indicating "Free Wireless Available", there were hackers waiting for users trying to be connected to the Wireless, to do this a Laptop was used.  Any time a person was connected in to the wireless net, hackers were reviewing the sites visited by the user, they were looking to get Facebook and e-mail passwords in order to be able to enter in to this accounts and look for  banking accounts passwords.  In this case it was just a test to show how easy  a hacker could access any electronic device.  After seeing that documentary I am much more prudent in order to be sure nobody is accessing my social nets.

  1. It is a fact of life that people who domain computers will try to get information from every computer device. Why? Because It is possible. Whenever something is reachable someone will be willing to reach it. That why I think it should be laws which punish very hard to those who steal data of information belonging to others. And that such laws be so hard and easy to apply.

  2. Yes! You should be very careful using networks and devices from someone, there are many ways to steal some information from computers, facebook, mails. Hackers are in every place, big companies like Play Station, Netflix, has been attacked from hackers , they stole credit card information and they can buy things with your money!
Hackers can still information from your credit card in restaurants, gas station, stores, in less than a minute, they only pass the card into a device.
I recommender to use firewall to protect your computer.

  4. Very good tips Fernando. Now that you mention it I have made some mistakes: I am not used to change my passwords regularly, I almost never clear my browser history and I use free Wi-Fi whenever I can.

The only thing I almost never do is using public computers. And I use anti-virus protection. My passwords, of course, are not so easy.

well, friends, let's be more careful with our passwords...
